Event Details Presbyterian Communicators Network
February 10th & 11th, 2005 Registration: $50 Hotel: $89 + tax/parking Thank you for attending and participating! |

Post-event Notes: Worth the price of admission, time away from
home and the inconvenience of downtown Austin parking! Two factors made this
event a positive experience: Quality and Concern. The quality of the presenters
and the concern for communication expressed by all helped birth the central
portion of the Presbyterian Communicators Network. Evaluation information will be compiled by Mindy and if it is made available, we'll forward it. |

Event Location: Thank you to Central Presbyterian Church and staff, especially Lee, Rick, Win and Greg! Super-thanks to CPC member Tom Escandell for wireless accommodations and other tech support. |

Church from Surrounding Area: Central Presbyterian is located at the intersection of 8th & Brazos, just to the north side of the Omni Hotel, only 4 blocks from the Capitol. See map. Or directions in right column.
Parking is a challenge in downtown Austin. If you're coming downtown during the week to Central, there is almost always parking 2 blocks over (by the Baptist Church). You may also use the Omni's parking garage for a fee. It is just across the street. More details will be added or e-mailed to registrants including access instructions for mobility impaired persons. Weather: Turned out to be nice with a little rain on Friday. Local NBC affiliate - KXAN weather page. Link to 5-day forecast on LaQuinta site If you arrive in time, please take advantage of this optional event with lunch following. Central Presbyterian has long tradition of offering the musical arts and lunch to downtown Austin with the Noonday Concert Series. 12:05 - Concert in the sanctuary (map). 12:30 - Lunch in Smoot Fellowship Hall (map). Even if you miss the concert, join us for lunch. A few tables will be reserved for us, but you may sit anywhere. Featured Feb. 10: Kim Kafka - Love Songs Kim is a local artist (paint, photography) whose hobbies include: Jazz from the swing and bebop era, roots Rhythm and Blues... click link for more: kimkafka.com/bio.htm. |
