Transportation - Church & Hotel

We will have multiple cars serving as a shuttle between the church and hotel.

Depending on weather, it takes about 7-10 minutes to walk the 4 blocks. But check map below.

* accessible & quick entrances to church

 Central Presbyterian Church

200 East. 8th St.

(8th & Brazos)

La Quinta Inn - Austin Capitol

300 E. 11th St.

(11th & Trinity)

Parking at LaQuinta - The hotel charges $10/day for parking! Yes, that is for guests.

Parking in downtown is sometimes a challenge, especially when the state legislature is in session (and it is).

Riders, look for one or more of these vehicles (each will have "PCN" displayed on windows): White Lincoln Town Car (1997)  |  Late model mini-van rental.

We need a volunteer driver due to unexpected staff shortage. (We can provide the car.)

If you are willing to help shuttle people, in your vehicle or ours, please tell Shane Whisler.

It is best to use San Jacinto. Shown on map with red line.

The blue line indicates and alley which church members commonly use to enter the back of the church (directly to Smoot Fellowship Hall - PCN participants are welcome to use this entrance which is marked.)

Brazos has some very steep steps that can't be avoided 1 block north of Central Presbyterian (between 9th and 10th streets next to a Catholic Church).

On all streets, northbound travel is up a long, but not steep hill.

Walking is safe through the day. At night, do not walk alone as this section of downtown feels isolated.
